What happens after you apply

  1. Step 1

    Traveller details

Names exactly as printed on the passport, plus passport dates, for everyone travelling.
  2. Step 2

    Your documents

Your checklist is tailored to the destination and to your situation, and each item says why it is being asked for. Upload what you have; come back for the rest.
  3. Step 3

    We check them

Someone goes through every document before anything is sent, against the same list you uploaded to. If an item would get the application refused, you get a note saying which one and why, and a chance to replace it.
  4. Step 4

    Review and pay once

You check everything, then pay the all-in price in one charge. Nothing is added after you pay.
  5. Step 5

    Submission and decision

We submit and track, and you follow it on a private tracking link. 3–5 working days once your documents are complete; the Vietnam authorities decide.

Things worth knowing before you pay

The constraints that actually get applications refused, with where each one comes from.

  • Important: One clock, not two: the exit date printed is the last day you may stay

You name your entry and exit dates when you apply, and Vietnam prints both on the e-Visa. The 30 days run between those two dates rather than from the day you land. Arrive a week late and you have three weeks left, not a later deadline.

  • Good to know: The port you name is the only door that opens

The visa is tied to one named airport or land crossing, and no other checkpoint will honour it. Settle where you are genuinely arriving before you apply, because the port you pick is printed on the visa and checked at the border. If your route changes after approval, do not assume the visa travels with you; confirm before you fly.

  • Good to know: Hanoi keeps its 25 dollars whether the answer is yes or no

The Immigration Department charges USD 25 for a single-entry e-Visa, collected on its own portal when you apply, and its terms say the fee is kept even if the visa is refused. When you compare quotes, that fixed amount is the government's share; anything above it is a service charge, so ask what it covers.

  • Important: Count the wait in Vietnamese working days, not calendar days

Decisions typically arrive within three to five working days, and the count runs on Vietnam's public-holiday calendar, so Tet and other national holidays pause it. Give yourself at least a week. The government portal itself publishes one processing time with no faster tier, so if a quicker turnaround is offered for an extra charge, ask what that charge actually buys before paying it.

  • Important: Single entry means one entry: a day trip to Cambodia ends it

Leave Vietnam for any reason and this visa is spent, even with days left on it. Since August 2023 the Immigration Department also issues e-Visas of up to 90 days with multiple entries, at USD 50; if your route crosses a border and comes back, that is the visa to apply for, not an extension of this one.

  • Good to know: A PDF you fetch and print yourself, plus a blank passport page

Nothing goes into your passport until the border; the visa itself is a document you print. On the official portal you look it up with the registration code you were given, the email you applied with and your date of birth, then save the file. Carry a paper copy alongside a passport that has six months left on it and one empty page for the entry stamp.

You can also apply yourself

These are the official government portals. Nothing on this page is exclusive to us.

If your paperwork is straightforward and you have the time, applying direct costs you only the authority’s own fees. What you pay us for is set out below.

What you are actually paying us for

The question every visa site avoids answering.

  • Checked against the current rules

We verify every document against Vietnam's requirements as they stand this week, not as they stood last year.

  • Only the documents you actually need

Your checklist changes with your profile — salaried, self-employed, retired, student, minor. You will not be asked for paperwork that does not apply to you.

  • Forms completed correctly

We prepare and pre-fill the application form. Form errors are the most common avoidable cause of refusal.

  • One named person on your file

Not a ticket queue. You get the name and direct line of the person handling your application.

  • Status you can see without logging in

A private tracking link with real timestamps at every stage, and a message on every change.

What it does not buy: influence over the decision. No one can sell you that. The Vietnam authorities decide, and they decide alone.
