What happens after you apply
Step 1
Traveller details
Names exactly as printed on the passport, plus passport dates, for everyone travelling.Step 2
Your documents
The 14 documents to upload are listed above, each with the reason it is asked for. Upload what you have; come back for the rest.Step 3
We check them
Someone goes through every document before anything is sent, against the same list you uploaded to. If an item would get the application refused, you get a note saying which one and why, and a chance to replace it.Step 4
Review and pay once
You check everything, then pay the all-in price in one charge. Nothing is added after you pay.Step 5
Your appointment
We book the earliest slot we can reach. The 20–25 working days count from your appointment, and you get a firm delivery date once a slot is confirmed.
We will not promise you a date we cannot control
A Switzerland visa requires an in-person appointment and biometrics. The 20–25 working day estimate starts from your appointment, not from the day you pay — because the appointment queue belongs to the consulate, not to us. You will get a firm delivery date the moment your slot is confirmed, and not a moment before.
Things worth knowing before you pay
The constraints that actually get applications refused, with where each one comes from.
Important: No Swiss e-visa exists, and nothing is issued at the border
For an Indian passport the Swiss visa is a Schengen sticker fixed in the passport before departure: there is no online permit to buy and nothing is granted on landing. You attend a VFS Global appointment in person, and ten fingerprints are taken unless a Schengen application in the previous 59 months already holds them. The consulate alone decides.

Important: Ninety days in any 180 is the ceiling, not the visa you will hold
Schengen law allows at most 90 days inside any rolling 180-day window, counted across all Schengen states together, and that ceiling is what this listing shows. Within it the Swiss consulate writes the actual validity, length of stay and number of entries on the sticker, working from the itinerary you file. Single or multiple entry is its call, not a checkout option.

Good to know: Switzerland's currency is the franc, but the visa fee is EUR 90
Switzerland sits outside the EU and does not use the euro, yet its short-stay visa fee is the shared Schengen one and is fixed in euros: EUR 90 per adult, EUR 45 for children aged six to eleven, nothing under six. In India VFS Global collects the rupee equivalent at the mission's rate and adds its own service charge. The fee pays for the examination, so it is charged whatever the outcome.

Important: Reserve the flight, do not pay for it, and plan on 20 to 25 working days
The Schengen supporting-document list asks for a return reservation, not a purchased fare, so a hold is enough for the file. The turnaround quoted for this route is 20 to 25 working days. The Visa Code gives the consulate 15 calendar days from an admissible application and lets that stretch to 45 when a file needs more scrutiny, so a paid ticket bought before the decision is money at risk for weeks.

Important: Check that the insurance names Switzerland, not just the EU
Medical travel insurance of at least EUR 30,000, covering treatment and repatriation and valid in every Schengen state, is written into the visa rules as a condition of issue. Because Switzerland is not an EU member, a certificate whose territory reads 'European Union' does not name it; ask for Schengen-area or worldwide wording. For a single-entry visa the dates must cover the whole stay applied for; for multiple entry, the first trip, with a signed undertaking to insure the later ones.

Important: Not EU, but Schengen: apply through Switzerland only as your main destination
Switzerland stands outside the EU but inside Schengen, so the sticker also opens France, Italy, Germany and Austria. The same rules fix which country may take your file: the main destination, judged by the purpose of the visit and then by the length of stay in each place. Only when no main destination can be identified does the first country entered take the file. A consulate that is not competent hands the application back rather than deciding it, and the appointment is spent.

If your paperwork is straightforward and you have the time, applying direct costs you only the authority’s own fees. What you pay us for is set out below.
What you are actually paying us for
The question every visa site avoids answering.
Checked against the current rules
We verify every document against Switzerland's requirements as they stand this week, not as they stood last year.
Only the documents you actually need
Your checklist changes with your profile — salaried, self-employed, retired, student, minor. You will not be asked for paperwork that does not apply to you.
Appointment secured for you
We hold and book your slot at the visa centre, and re-book it free if it slips.
Forms completed correctly
We prepare and pre-fill the application form. Form errors are the most common avoidable cause of refusal.
One named person on your file
Not a ticket queue. You get the name and direct line of the person handling your application.
Status you can see without logging in
A private tracking link with real timestamps at every stage, and a message on every change.
What it does not buy: influence over the decision. No one can sell you that. The Switzerland authorities decide, and they decide alone.
