20–25 working days, counted from your appointment.

What happens after you apply

  1. Step 1

    Traveller details

Names exactly as printed on the passport, plus passport dates, for everyone travelling.
  2. Step 2

    Your documents

The 14 documents to upload are listed above, each with the reason it is asked for. Upload what you have; come back for the rest.
  3. Step 3

    We check them

Someone goes through every document before anything is sent, against the same list you uploaded to. If an item would get the application refused, you get a note saying which one and why, and a chance to replace it.
  4. Step 4

    Review and pay once

You check everything, then pay the all-in price in one charge. Nothing is added after you pay.
  5. Step 5

    Your appointment

We book the earliest slot we can reach. The 20–25 working days count from your appointment, and you get a firm delivery date once a slot is confirmed.

We will not promise you a date we cannot control

A Finland visa requires an in-person appointment and biometrics. The 20–25 working day estimate starts from your appointment, not from the day you pay — because the appointment queue belongs to the consulate, not to us. You will get a firm delivery date the moment your slot is confirmed, and not a moment before.

Things worth knowing before you pay

The constraints that actually get applications refused, with where each one comes from.

  • Good to know: The €90 fee is the EU's, and it pays for an examination

Every Schengen state charges an adult €90 to examine a short-stay application; children aged 6 to 11 pay €45 and under-6s pay nothing. The fee buys the assessment rather than the visa, so the embassy keeps it when an application is refused. The visa application centre's service charge is a separate amount on top.

  • Good to know: First Schengen visa? Fingerprints are taken in person, by appointment

Anyone whose fingerprints have never been recorded for a Schengen visa attends the visa application centre personally. Finland's applications from India are lodged through VFS Global, which releases its own appointment slots. Fingerprints stay in the EU visa database for 59 months, so a repeat applicant inside that window may be spared the visit.

  • Important: The embassy, not the order form, sets your dates and entries

The Embassy of Finland decides how long the visa runs and how many entries it carries once it has examined the file; nothing chosen at booking binds that decision. Schengen law caps any short stay at 90 days within a 180-day period, and EU rules add a 15-day grace period to the validity the embassy grants. Read the sticker, not the product description, for your actual limits.

  • Good to know: Insurance: €30,000, valid across Schengen, for every day of the stay

Medical insurance of at least €30,000, including repatriation, is written into the Schengen Visa Code as a condition of the visa itself. The policy must be valid in every Schengen state and for every day of the intended stay. Cover limited to Finland, or ending before the return flight, gives the embassy a ground to refuse.

  • Good to know: Six months of statements, judged against the whole itinerary

You submit six months of bank statements, and the embassy reads them against the length and purpose of the trip. Finland's own reference figure for a visitor's daily expenses is around €50 per day of stay, on top of whatever tickets and accommodation cost; that figure went up from €30 on 1 January 2024. Plan the balance around the full itinerary rather than a flat sum.

You can also apply yourself

These are the official government portals. Nothing on this page is exclusive to us.

If your paperwork is straightforward and you have the time, applying direct costs you only the authority’s own fees. What you pay us for is set out below.

What you are actually paying us for

The question every visa site avoids answering.

  • Checked against the current rules

We verify every document against Finland's requirements as they stand this week, not as they stood last year.

  • Only the documents you actually need

Your checklist changes with your profile — salaried, self-employed, retired, student, minor. You will not be asked for paperwork that does not apply to you.

  • Appointment secured for you

We hold and book your slot at the visa centre, and re-book it free if it slips.

  • Forms completed correctly

We prepare and pre-fill the application form. Form errors are the most common avoidable cause of refusal.

  • One named person on your file

Not a ticket queue. You get the name and direct line of the person handling your application.

  • Status you can see without logging in

A private tracking link with real timestamps at every stage, and a message on every change.

What it does not buy: influence over the decision. No one can sell you that. The Finland authorities decide, and they decide alone.
